| contact us - we're friendly. :) The Plastic Navy was created to be an independant organization of kayak anglers in Southern California. We hold the finest kayak fishing tournaments in the world as well as the friendliest get-together barbecue events you'll ever find. Our large-scale tournaments are held in conjunction with kayak manufacturers and retailers but these activities are meant to spotlight different products, different kayaks and different companies in our industry. By remaining independant of club sponsorship or affiliation we are able to stay objective and honestly say that our goals are to put anglers in kayaks, make new friends and have a great time doing it. Drew Clark and Paul Weintraub are the founding members of the Plastic Navy and brought it to life early in 2003. Ed Whited, renowned as a "Big Bass Hunter" in our bay and harbor waters, has joined the PN as our Team Captain. Ed is in charge of tournament and competition teams for all future events as well as assisting with events, promotions and teaching us patience with slow fishing techniques.
